A replacement that feels like part of you
A dental implant replaces a missing tooth from the foundation up. A small titanium implant is placed in the jaw and, once it has healed, supports a crown, bridge, or full set of teeth that stays secure when you eat, speak, and smile.
Dr. Cho plans and places Portland dental implants right here at Life Bloom Dental using cone beam CT and 3D scanning to map the procedure before it begins. He also restores the implant afterward, so you can stay with the same dentist from planning through your finished smile.

What an implant gets you that a bridge or denture doesn’t
Chew normally, on both sides
Bone stays where it is instead of shrinking under a gap
Neighboring teeth are left alone
Snap-in dentures that don’t need adhesive, for patients replacing a full arch
A restoration that lasts decades with normal care
How it goes
-
Consult and 3D planning
A cone beam CT shows the bone, nerves, and sinus in three dimensions. Dr. Cho checks whether there’s enough bone, plans the exact position, and prints a surgical guide in-house.
-
Placement
The implant goes in under local anesthetic, with nitrous, oral, or IV sedation depending on what you chose. If the tooth is still there, it can often be removed and the socket preserved at the same visit. Most patients are back to normal in a few days.
-
Healing
The bone bonds to the implant over a few months. A temporary keeps the space filled.
-
The crown
Once healed, a scan is taken, and a crown, bridge, or arch is made to match your other teeth.
Why Portland patients choose Life Bloom Dental for implants
-
Surgery and restoration by one dentist
No handoff between a surgeon and a restoring dentist. Dr. Cho does both and sees you for checkups afterward.
-
Trained specifically for this
DMD from OHSU, more than 100 hours of continuing education a year focused on implant surgery, and membership in the ITI Study Club.
-
Bone grafting when you need it
Socket preservation, sinus lifts, and guided bone regeneration are done here, so a thin ridge doesn’t mean a referral.
Paying for your dental implants
-

With insurance
Some plans cover part of an implant, usually the crown. We check your benefits and give you a written estimate before anything starts.

For larger treatments
Implants are an investment. Cherry Finance spreads the cost over monthly payments instead of one up-front bill. Cash, check, and card all work.
Questions people ask about dental implants in Portland
How much do Portland dental implants cost?
It depends on how many teeth, whether you need a graft, and the type of restoration. You’ll get a written estimate at the consult, and Cherry Finance can break it into monthly payments.
Do implants hurt?
The placement is done under local anesthetic and sedation, so you don’t feel it. Afterward, most patients manage with over-the-counter pain relief for a few days.
What if I don’t have enough bone?
Dr. Cho grafts bone here, often at the same time as an extraction, to give the implant something solid to hold. The 3D scan tells us before surgery whether you’ll need it.
Can I replace all my teeth with dental implants in Portland?
Yes. A full arch can be restored with a fixed bridge on several implants or a snap-in denture that clips onto them. Both are planned and placed here.
